WASHINGTON—Today, Rep. Scott Franklin (R-FL) announced Brandon High School sophomore Miki Lin as the winner of the 2022 Congressional Art Competition for Florida’s 15th Congressional District. Miki’s piece, “Me with My Cat Sofie,” will hang in the U.S. Capitol for one year and will be on display at House.gov.
“Congratulations to Miki Lin on winning this year’s Congressional Art Competition,” said Rep. Franklin.“Her piece reflects her artistic creativity and I am glad it will be on display for all to see in our nation’s Capitol. I am also immensely proud of all the students who participated in this year’s competition. Their submissions demonstrated remarkable talent and creativity. Congratulations once again to Miki and all of our contestants.”
Each spring, the Congressional Institute hosts the Congressional Art Competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent across the United States and in each congressional district. This year’s winner was selected in partnership with the Polk Museum of Art at Florida Southern College.
