Rep. Franklin Honors Florida’s 18th Congressional District Art Winner At U.S. Capitol

Congressman Scott Franklin (FL-18), co-chair of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition, welcomed student artists from across the country to the U.S. Capitol for the annual celebration, including Florida’s 18th Congressional District winner, Arianna Kerr.

“Congratulations to Arianna Kerr for winning this year’s FL-18 art competition,” said Congressman Franklin. “Her piece reflects the strength and spirit of FL-18. It’s an honor to recognize the talent and creativity of these students whose work now hangs in the U.S. Capitol. I applaud Arianna and all winners for their contributions to our nation’s artistic legacy.”

The reception honors exceptional young artists whose winning pieces will be displayed in the Capitol for the next year, showcasing the creativity and vision of students from every congressional district.

Earlier this spring, Congressman Franklin hosted a local reception to recognize participants from FL-18. Arianna, a student at Harrison High School in Lakeland, earned first place for her piece Unfettered, which is now featured alongside other winning entries from across the nation.

Congressman Franklin also congratulates Daniel Sharik, the second-place winner, and Trevor Henderson, who placed third in this year’s FL-18 competition. Rachel Harris, Addison Porter, Evelyn Hoffert, Isabel Sizemore, Ruby Brown and Victoria Cruz also received honorable mentions for their submissions.
