Statement of Support for U.S. Strikes on Iranian Nuclear Facilities

Congressman Scott Franklin (FL-18) released the following statement in response to U.S. Strikes on Iranian Nuclear Facilities:

"Today, the United States struck three deeply fortified nuclear facilities in Iran: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. This operation, executed with precision by U.S. B‑2 stealth bombers, delivered bunker-busting ordinance to deeply buried sites critical to Iran's nuclear enrichment program. President Trump announced that "all aircraft are now outside of Iranian airspace" following a "very successful" mission."

"This military action reflects a clear and present strategic imperative: preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. U.S. involvement was prudent and necessary. Israel had already degraded Iranian air defenses; U.S. employment of bunker‑penetrating ordnance was critical to neutralize Iran’s most fortified facilities—sites that might otherwise have remained beyond reach. It was a measured escalation: limited in scope, carefully targeted, and executed with clear, attainable objectives."

"I support President Trump’s action and applaud our military forces for their successful and strategic mission. It sends a powerful message to Tehran and the world: when diplomacy fails and America’s security or that of our allies is threatened, the U.S. will act swiftly, decisively, and without hesitation to defend its interests and uphold global stability."
