Congressman Scott Franklin (FL-18) issued the following statement regarding his vote in support of H.Con.Res 14. “Americans have suffered long enough under President Biden’s disastrous policies—which left our border open to invasion, allowed trillions in new spending, unleashed inflation on Americans, dismantled our energy independence and jeopardized American global leadership. Now is the time to reverse the damage and to get our country back on track with bold, visionary leadership. “Tonight, I was pleased to vote for the FY25 budget resolution, which will set important spending and savings goals to deliver on President Trump’s America First budget policies in ONE bill. This critical package will cut the deficit by $2 trillion by rooting out wasteful and fraudulent spending, secure the border, make critical investments in our national security and restore American energy independence. Most importantly, it will extend the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, preventing record tax hikes and ensuring families and small businesses keep more of their hard-earned money. “This is the only budget resolution that fully unleashes the President’s vision for a stronger, safer and more prosperous America. I urge the Senate to join House Republicans and President Trump in putting Americans first by passing this plan immediately.”
