Rep. Scott Franklin issued the following statement regarding President Donald Trump's State of the Union Address:
"President Trump outlined a vision centered on peace through strength, economic growth, and renewed opportunity for the American people. In Florida, we understand peace through strength is not just a slogan. It means supporting our servicemembers, strengthening our military readiness, and ensuring our defense industrial base remains second to none. A strong America deters conflict and protects our freedoms at home and abroad.
"The president’s commitment to tax relief and pro-growth policies is also critical for Florida families, small businesses, farmers, and retirees. Lower taxes and a stronger economy mean more opportunity, more jobs, and greater security for hardworking Floridians. There is more work to do, and I remain committed to advancing policies that keep Florida safe, grow our economy, support our farmers and expand opportunity across our communities."
