WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman Scott Franklin (FL-18) today announced he will remain on the Appropriations Committee for the 119th Congress and assume the role of Vice Chairman of the Agriculture Subcommittee. Along with this new leadership position, Franklin was also selected to serve on the Energy and Water Development Subcommittee and will continue his service on the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Subcommittee.

“It’s an honor to return to the House Appropriations Committee to allocate critical resources, rein in wasteful spending and restore fiscal sanity,” said Congressman Franklin. “As the new Vice Chair of the Agriculture Subcommittee, I’m proud to continue supporting our nation’s hardworking farmers, ranchers, growers and producers who keep the world fed and provide millions of jobs for Americans.

“This Congress, I’m excited to join the Energy and Water Development Subcommittee to craft budgets that prioritize our energy independence and fund critical water projects that fuel our economy and protect our environment.

“As a tireless fighter for our national defense and military veterans, I’m eager to continuing serving on the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Subcommittee to bolster national security projects that strengthen U.S. global leadership and enhance programs that improve servicemember and veteran quality of life.”
