WASHINGTON, DC--Rep Scott Franklin (FL-18) issued the following statement regarding his vote to table the motion to vacate Speaker Mike Johnson:

"Removing Speaker Johnson would be a major tactical error and seriously damage our ability to advance conservative priorities.  I supported the motion to table to dispense with this foolish partisan infighting and get back to the work our constituents sent us here to accomplish.  President Trump, and nearly every House Republican, agreed it would be a mistake to vacate the Speaker."
