WASHINGTON—Representative Scott Franklin (FL-15) issued the following statement in response to the FBI raid on the home of former President Donald Trump:

"The American public has a right to know why the Justice Department executed an unprecedented raid on President Trump’s home. If there was sufficient evidence to justify a search warrant, the DoJ must be fully transparent. Anything less will further undermine public trust in our justice system. Any political weaponization of the DoJ is a disgrace and will be a top oversight priority once Republicans take control of Congress.”
