Lakeland, Fla.— U.S. Representative Scott Franklin (FL–15) has announced the members of his Service Academy Selection Committee. The selection committee will be responsible for interviewing and nominating applicants interested in serving our nation by attending one of our prestigious Service Academies for the class of 2026. Interviews will take place in November 2021.
Below are the individuals who will participate on the committee:
Chairman: Colonel Gary Clark (USAF, retired)
Major General Jake Polumbo (USAF, retired)–U.S. Air Force Academy Graduate
Commander Floyd Meadows (USN, retired)–U.S. Naval Academy Graduate
Lieutenant Colonel Ryan Regtuyt, U.S. Army–Professor of Military Science at Florida Southern College
Major Keith Deloach, U.S. Army–U.S. Military Academy Graduate
Captain Jaime Keith, U.S. Marine Corps–U.S. Naval Academy Graduate
Michelle Townley, Regional Assistant Superintendent at Polk County Public Schools
“As a graduate of the Naval Academy, 26-year Navy veteran, and previous Service Academy committee member, I’m honored by the opportunity to nominate our next generation of service academy cadets and midshipmen as a Member of Congress. These candidates must exhibit incredible academic, physical, and mental prowess for consideration of admission into our Service Academies. I applaud these young men and women for their commitment to country and desire to dedicate their college years to a rigorous program in preparation to defend America," Franklin said.
